Thank you to those who recently supported our donations to The Clothing Bank; we gratefully received a batch of 304 new clothing! The clothes were a mixture of children’s sizes hoodies, t-shirts and joggers.
We will donate all the items to our friends at The Clothing Bank. The Clothing Bank is a charity that takes clothing donations and re-purposes them to those in need within the UK. We have had the pleasure of meeting the incredible women who set up and run the clothing bank. The work they do is phenomenal.
You might remember that our Trustee, Sonia chose to donate to the cause as part of our 12 Days of Giving.
They hold many of the same values as we do at JSFT, we have a shared mission to help those that need it the most. After identifying a gap in the support chain for people struggling to clothe themselves and their families alongside everyday living costs, they aim to take the weight off people who can’t afford clothes and allow them to blend into society without potential prejudice.
We are proud to be able to contribute to the wonderful work that they the team carries out and would like to say a special thank you to Dean at Churchside Insurance and 304 Clothing.
If anyone is having a clear-out and looking to donate their unwanted clothing items to a good cause, then please consider this fabulous charity. They have multiple drop-off points up and down the UK; visit The Clothing Bank website for more details.
