We are really excited about our upcoming fundraising event where the Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust and AKA take on Tough Mudder!
We must be crazy, but we have decided to enter a team into this year’s Tough Mudder Challenge at Belvoir Castle on Sunday, 25th June. We have joined forces with the fabulous AKA and now have an incredible team of 49 participants taking part in this fundraising event, all in the name of charity! So the countdown is now officially on until the Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust and AKA take on Tough Mudder.
The 10 km long course containing 20 different obstacles will be a grueling physical challenge but worthwhile to raise much-needed funds for both organisations. We didn’t know when we signed up that this particular course is one of the toughest around! No backing out now!
We have worked with AKA previously and have developed a strong relationship with the team behind the organisation; through our grants, we provided AKA with a much-needed minibus and equipment to support their youth club activities. AKA recently hosted a charity football match to raise funds for the JSFT.
“Aka epitomizes all that we are working to achieve as a charity; It really is a privilege to be able to support them. They are a huge positive influence on the people around them; they have built a team of like-minded volunteers and, together are achieving great things. I’m really looking forward to bringing everyone together and taking on the tough mudder course, it’s definitely going to be a day for the memory bank.” – Kelly Bossons, JSFT Trustee and Jordan’s Fiancee.
AKA are a grass-roots not-for-profit organisation founded by three friends who are proactive and focused on making a positive impact on the city of Nottingham. They aim to make people happier, healthier and unified. AKA provides access to projects and physical activities to those from disadvantaged and socially isolated groups enabling all ages to improve their physical, emotional and mental health. You can find out more about AKA here.
“We are inspired by the work that JSFT do in the community and are honoured to partner with them again on what will be a fantastic day. I know a few of the team are worried about the day. However, we are ready to embrace the opportunity and relish the challenge. What a great way to try something new, live outside our comfort zone, and meet new people while having a laugh and raising money for a charity close to our hearts” AKA
A huge thank you to our sponsors at Cooper Parry, who have made it possible for us to enter our team! We are extremely grateful for their generosity and support.
